Our ally Nigeria needs U.S. support
I read in the paper today of another attack on Christians in Nigeria by Islamic militants, this time leaving 85 dead. Last week it was 43 schoolkids killed by the Islamic terrorists. And it seems every week it is another group of women and children killed, usually while in church or school.
I have not heard a word of condemnation or support for the Nigerian government, which is fighting the militants, from the president, secretary of state or most members of Congress.
I thought Nigeria was an ally to the U.S. Can't we help their military with intelligence, arms, training and maybe Special Forces?
Last month 300 civilians were killed in Nigeria.
