Another forum on Brainerd proposal:

Opponents of a proposal to convert the shuttered former Libertyville High School into a community center will host a town-hall style meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, March 10, at the Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Church St. The meeting is being held to address questions that have not been answered at three previous town hall meetings hosted by the village, according to the group itsanobrainerd. Libertyville voters on March 18 will be asked to authorize the village to issue up to $11.5 million to convert the Brainerd building. Opponents have questioned the need for such a facility and the projections of income and expenses. The Brainerd Community Center Inc., says the project would revitalize a local historic landmark and provide needed space for meetings, banquets, entertainment and other uses.
