Robbery charges dismissed against teens

A Cook County judge has dismissed armed robbery charges against two suburban teenagers, court records show.

Cook County Judge Jill Cerone Marisie cited no probable cause in dismissing charges against Gerardo Arreola, 18, of Arlington Heights, and Nathan Fakhouri, 19, of Mount Prospect, records show.

Charges are still pending against a third teen, Pawel Blonski, 18, of Mount Prospect.

The charges stem from a January incident involving a Wheeling man from whom the teens intended to purchase marijuana, prosecutors said. Prosecutors say after the man entered a car driven by one of the teens, Blonski pointed a weapon at him and demanded the man turn over everything he had.

Blonski, who has a drug possession case pending in Skokie, next appears in court on March 19.
