No. 2 St. Joseph (24-7) vs.

No. 7 Timothy Christian (18-9)

Outlook: Timothy Christian is hoping this isn't the perfect storm of bad matchups. In addition to the semifinal win, the Chargers are coming off a huge regular-season victory over St. Rita. And in addition to contributions from Nick Rakocevic, Jordan Ash and Glynn Watson, Timothy Christian now has to contend with contributing freshman newcomers. To top things off, the Trojans have to pull off a massive upset on St. Joe's home court. In Connor VanderBrug, Timothy Christian has the type of player who can take over a game. Despite his 22-point, 9-rebound average, though, VanderBrug will need a bunch of help from Justin Rhiner and others. The Trojans must find a way to contain Rakocevic in the post.

Advancement: The winner advances to play the winner of the Farragut regional final between Fenwick and Farragut in Wednesday's sectional semifinals.
