Nuns victims of Obama oppression

Nuns victims of Obama oppression

Illinois has long been known as the home of the Great Emancipator. But now it can claim a second more nefarious title: the home of the Great Prevaricator.

Among the voluminous lies Obama has told was a promise to Cardinal Dolan that Christians would be protected from violation of their conscience rights and freedom of religion in regard to the HHS Mandate. This Obamacare regulation requires all health care participants except religious institutions to contribute to support of contraceptives and abortifacient drugs which are morally objectionable to Catholics.

But the Little Sisters of the Poor, an order of Catholic nuns, are currently subject to ruinous fines of $6,700 per day because they refuse to sign a paper required by Obama's HHS Mandate violating their religious conscience rights. For those unfamiliar with these good sisters, they maintain homes throughout the country, where they give loving care to the elderly until death.

The nuns supply this service to all regardless of their religious affiliation, and herein lies the reason why they are subject to Obama's insane regulation. Because they minister to people of all religious backgrounds, they are not considered a religious organization by the HHS Mandate's lunatic definition. If they ministered exclusively to Catholics, they would be exempt from regulation. What insanity.

Even the left wing Supreme Court Justice Sotomajor smells a skunk in the Obama woodpile in this case, and has issued a temporary stay of the HHS Mandate in the nuns' case. Those who supported Obama expected a messiah, but what they got instead was a mess.

How appropriate and typical that the lord has chosen this little order of benevolent nuns to trigger the demise of the malevolent and oppressive Obama regime.
