Madison County probes satanic graffiti at 2 sites

ALTON, Ill. - Authorities in southwestern Illinois' Madison County are seeking public help in finding who spray-painted satanic graffiti on an Alton-area church and a subdivision's entrance.

Sheriff's investigators say deputies were summoned to Salem Baptist Church after the phrases "Hail Satan (He's sexy)" and "666" were found on the church facade.

The next day, the words "Hail Satan" also were reported on the brick pillars of the Woodland Hills subdivision.

Anyone with information about the damage is asked to call the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
