Northwestern College makes valentines for Des Plaines seniors

Employees of Northwestern College's Rosemont Administrative Office decided to make Valentine's Day cards for seniors at a Des Plaines nursing home to bring some cheer to them on the holiday. In total, 250 valentines were created and delivered in time for Valentine's Day.

Northwestern College's Rosemont Administrative Office employs 21 of the college's 250 employees. With three days' notice the staff pooled its artistic talents to create 250 handmade individual valentines, in addition to covering their daily employment duties. Paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils, scissors, and glue appeared in the break-room, where each employee created their own personal sentiments to be shared with the seniors.

While some were creative, each valentine was made with a special person in mind, in hopes that the colorful cards would bring smiles to everyone's faces.
