Free film on plight of bees:
The documentary, "Queen of the Sun: What are the bees telling us?" will be shown as part of a free program at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Byron Colby Barn, 1561 Jones Point Road, Grayslake. The film outlines a global crisis concerning the plight of bees, why they matter, and what you can do to make a difference. After the film, visitors can mingle with Prairie Crossing farmers and local beekeepers. The event is presented by the Liberty Prairie Foundation and co-sponsored by Conserve Lake County and Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods (formerly the Friends of Ryerson Woods). Registration is not required.
