Gunman shoots 3 in suburban Chicago restaurant

MAYWOOD — Police say no one is in custody after a masked gunman shot and injured three men in a suburban Chicago restaurant.

Maywood Police Officer Pirsia Allen says the shooter opened the door to Pumpkin's Place restaurant and opened fire around 5:45 p.m. Friday.

Allen says the shooter was wearing a ski mask when he opened the door to the restaurant and "just started shooting."

The injured men were taken to Loyola Medical Center where they were in stable condition. Two of the men are in their 20s; the other is 53.

Allen says police arrived on the scene to find two of the men bleeding outside the restaurant. He says the third man was taken to the hospital by a private resident before officers arrived.
