Geneva festival to feature more than 40 films

GENEVA - A suburban Chicago film festival will feature more than 40 independent films from around the world.

The Geneva Film Festival is scheduled for March 6 to 8. The first night will be student night - when students will get a free T-shirt and half off a festival pass.

The festival will include a panel discussion where attendees can learn about the filmmaking process and the challenges involved in producing an independent film.

The Geneva Film Festival started in 2007 and is sponsored by the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission.

Scott Rolf is executive director of the festival. He says that with a diverse range of subject matter and genres, "there is definitely something for everyone."
