Music notes: Big & Rich hits Austin's Fuel Arena

Local country show

Country-music duo Big & Rich (named after its members, Big Kenny and John Rich) will play a show in the suburbs this weekend. The group released a new single, “Look at You,” earlier this year. It is slated to appear on a forthcoming studio album, the band's fifth.

Beatles singalong

As part of the ongoing celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Beatles' appearance on American television, the Arcada Theatre is hosting a special singalong screening of #8220;A Hard Day's Night,#8221; the classic and influential musical film from the Beatles and filmmaker Richard Lester. The event will include a preshow concert by the Ralleys and other activities.

More country sounds

Grammy-winning trio Lady Antebellum is one of the most successful acts in contemporary country pop. The band delivers catchy melodies, slick production and just enough twang to keep its country-music cred intact. The group is performing in the suburbs next week.
