The Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging is accepting applications for a position as a Lake County representative on its board of directors. Board members adopt a regional position of addressing needs and planning services for the eight-county area served by the agency. The board is actively involved in the workings of the agency, with responsibilities ranging from tracking pertinent pieces of legislation to making recommendations on which applicants receive funding. The position is for the remaining two years of an unexpired term, and the new member will then be eligible for a full three-year term.
