No one injured in Naperville house fire

No one was injured in a Naperville house fire on Tuesday that caused estimated damages in excess of $200,000, the Naperville Fire Department reported in a news release.

At 2:38 p.m. a passer-by reported seeing flames in the window of a home at 28W727 Wagner in unincorporated Will County on the far southwest side of Naperville, authorities said.

Police arriving one minute later reported smoke and fire through the roof of the single-story ranch home.

The first arriving fire units searched the home for occupants. Authorities said the home had no permanent residents, but there had been reports of squatters living in the building recently.

Authorities said the building had heavy damage inside, with a partial collapse of the floor and a partial collapse of the roof.

Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire, the release said.
