Jack Daniel's club planned at Allstate Arena

You can already get a mixed drink at the Allstate Arena, but soon a certain type of whiskey will have a special place at concerts, basketball and hockey games, and other events.

A Jack Daniel's club is being planned for the upper east side of the stadium where ticket holders can make drink and food purchases. It will not be an exclusive-access club, according to Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens.

The village board this week approved advertising and trademark license agreements with the Brown-Forman Corporation, which owns the Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey Brand. Under the agreement, the company agrees to pay the village $140,000 a year for three years in exchange for construction of the club section, Jack Daniel's signage throughout the stadium, sponsorship of the Wolves' three stars recognition at the end of games, and retention of an existing company skybox.

The new club will be located in an area above the top row of balcony seats, but below the skyboxes.

Construction is expected to begin in mid-March, and could be complete as early as June.
