Boy, 14, killed in gang-related Chicago shooting

Authorities say a 14-year-old boy died after being shot in the head on Chicago's South Side.

Police spokesman Hector Alfaro says the shooting happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators say the teenager was walking with two other people when a white van pulled up and someone inside opened fire.

Alfaro says the shooting appears to be gang related.

No one else was injured.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday morning.
