Finland beats Switzerland 4-3 in women's hockey

SOCHI, Russia - Jenni Hiirikoski scored her second goal of the game with 2:22 left in overtime to help Finland earn a 4-3 victory Wednesday over Switzerland and grab the No. 3 seed in the Olympic women's hockey playoffs.

Noora Raty stopped 24 shots for Finland, which finished the round-robin with a 1-2 record.

Florence Schelling made 40 saves for Switzerland, which was winless in group play.

Both teams will play in the quarterfinals.

Michelle Karvinen scored twice for Finland. Romy Eggimann and Phoebe Stanz scored for Switzerland to erase a 2-0 deficit in the second period. After Finland went ahead again, Stefanie Marty scored with 3:35 left in regulation to send the game into regulation.
