Carol Stream Park District considers firms to help with director search
The Carol Stream Park District board appears close to hiring a search firm to find a new executive director.
The park board is expected to meet Monday night in executive session. "I'm hoping we pick the firm we work with," board President Tim Powers said.
The search for a new director started in December, after Arnie Biondo announced he was stepping down to become executive director of the DuPage County Forest Preserve District.
Biondo's last day was Jan. 8. He led the district since 1995.
At a special meeting in early January, the board agreed to hire an executive search firm to find the new director. Companies gave presentations to the board on Jan. 20.
While the search is ongoing, Sue Rini, the district's director of finance and administration, was named acting director.
Powers said a list of questions was submitted last week to firms the park board talked to. Commissioners came up with a few more and the answers were received on Thursday.
