Help Grayslake boy battling brain cancer

The family of Joseph Dominic Cambio, 13, of Grayslake has worked with the youcaring.com website to provide information about his treatment for brain cancer and fundraising efforts to offset his medical costs, a family member said.

Joey, who suffers from germinoma, is a student at Grayslake Middle School, attends religious education classes at St. Gilbert Church and is a member of the Boy Scouts.

The family says they are fortunate to have a community of support from friends, families and strangers who have offered love and support in many ways in battling the physical, emotional and financial aspects of his illness.

The family said they are reaching out to friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and anonymous donors for help.
