Records fall as Snarski, Libertyville roll

Alex Snarski was at it again for Libertyville’s swimming team Tuesday night.

The Northwestern-bound senior set a third individual pool record this season with a 50.37 clocking in the 100-yard butterfly, easily breaking former Wildcat Stevie Wimmer’s 2010 record of 51.20, as Libertyville defeated Stevenson 102-84.

That makes 6 pool records, including three relays, for Snarski in the last month.

Libertyville finished undefeated in North Suburban Conference duals this season.

Snarski also won the 100 backstroke (50.55) and swam on the winning 200 medley and 400 free relays. Libertyville also got individual wins from Matt Harrington in the 200 free (1:45.02) and 100 free (47.44), Atticus Rush in the 200 IM (2:00.53), Bobby Snader in the 50 free (22.21) and Mark Boynton in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.32).
