Carmel staffer to be honored:

A Carmel Catholic High School minister will receive a distinguished service award from the Archdiocese of Chicago’s office of Catholic schools, a news release stated. Kambra French was nominated by administrators at the Mundelein school. French was among 33 winners from more than 250 Catholic elementary and high schools in Cook and Lake counties. She has been with Carmel for 13 years, first as a teacher. The award recognizes dedication, leadership and service of 10 or more years in Catholic education. Recipients will be honored during a reception Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Oakbrook DoubleTree Hotel.
