Prison time for Elgin man who caused 2013 crash

An Elgin man who police said caused a four-vehicle crash that injured nine people was sentenced to three years in prison, court records show.

Noe Aguilera, 23, pleaded guilty on Wednesday in Cook County circuit court in Rolling Meadows to aggravated reckless driving resulting in great bodily harm, records show. The judge also ordered Aguilera pay $724 in fines.

Published reports indicated Aguilera was driving nearly 100 mph at the time of the accident last July.

Aguilera received credit for 157 days in custody, records show. He must complete at least 50 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
