Boycott countries where scammers operate

I recently received a phone call informing me that I won an $850,000 prize. The man on the other end said he was a representative of P.C.H. and asked if I wanted my prize delivered in person or by special delivery. He then told me to call him back using an 876 area code, which I did. Only after I went online and found out 876 was Jamaica and that I would be billed $25 a minute for the call did I realize I was being scammed.

Since the United States government is slow to do anything about this, I think any and all boycotting of travel to Jamaica would put pressure on its own government to do something about it. I’d like to see an article in your newspaper informing people, especially other seniors like myself.
