Hawthorn Woods to host inaugural winter carnival
Hawthorn Woods hosts its inaugural Winter Carnival from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, at Community Park, Old McHenry and Quentin Roads. The new event includes refreshments, entertainment, music, an ice sculpture demonstration, ice skating, a snowman building contest, games, sledding, old-fashioned wagon rides and the finale is an amazing laser light show.
