Aurora man sentenced to 90 days for child porn

A 36-year-old Aurora man, charged with having more than 14 videos of child pornography on his laptop, was sentenced Friday to 90 days in jail and two years of sex offender probation.

Michael Detienne, of the 2200 block of Lakeside Drive, was arrested in February 2013 following an investigation by Aurora police that turned up video files of underage girls involved in sex acts.

Prosecutors said Friday that Detienne confessed to downloading the videos shortly before his arrest and said “he knew what he was doing was wrong.”

Detienne was taken into custody to immediately begin serving his sentence. He will be allowed to leave the jail to go to work and attend sex offender treatment. He also must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
