Court documents filed Wednesday state Savini is the brother-in-law of a supervisor in the DuPage state’s attorney’s office who could be called as a witness in the case.

Police arrested him a short time later near Saratoga and Plainfield-Naperville roads. Two children under 18 were in the car, which led to the endangerment charge,

Neither Savini nor his attorney, Terry Ekl, were present in court Wednesday. Savini is next due in court at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in room 4002. An undetermined Kane County prosecutor will be appointed at that time.
