Woman shot, killed in Aurora
A 22-year-old woman was shot and killed Monday evening on Aurora’s west side.
The woman was shot after a domestic-related argument at about 8:25 p.m. on the 500 block of Charles Street, police said in a release.
The victim was arguing with a 45-year-old man outside a home on that block when he shot her in the abdomen. She was taken to an Aurora hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The man is in custody, police said.
The Aurora Police Department’s Domestic Violence Reduction Unit is investigating, and more information will be released later, police said.
