Spring Grove woman charged with DUI

A Spring Grove woman faces DUI charges after authorities said she struck a vehicle parked alongside a road, resulting in minor injuries to the woman and a juvenile passenger.

Amanda Ducat, 28, of the 37900 block of Dewey, was charged with driving under the influence, police said.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said it responded at 6:25 p.m. Thursday to a single-vehicle traffic crash with injuries on the 6800 block of State Park Road in an unincorporated area near Spring Grove.

Ducat appeared to be under the influence of medications and drugs, according to the sheriff’s office, and there had been a call to the Fox Lake Police Department reporting her as a possibly impaired driver.

Ducat and her juvenile passenger were taken to Centegra McHenry Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
