Arlington Lakes hosts Chilly Open Jan. 18:

Arlington Lakes Golf Club in Arlington Heights hosts its Chilly Open, an annual tradition that pairs golf with tasty chili, on Saturday, Jan. 18. The $35 fee per person entitles each player to a round of golf, a raffle ticket with a chance to win a special prize, and all the hot chili you can eat. Coffee, beer, and hot chocolate also will be available. Prizes will be awarded to the top players in male, female, and senior divisions. Starting times begin at 8 a.m. Players are grouped in foursomes. Preregistered golfers may select their tee times on a first-come basis. To register for the Chilly Open, mail entry fee, name, address, and phone number to the Chilly Open, Arlington Lakes Golf Club, 1211 South New Wilke Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Make checks payable to the Arlington Lakes Golf Club. An entry form can be found at ahpd.org. Deadline to sign up is Jan. 16.
