Recycle holiday lights in Mundelein

Mundelein area residents can recycle old holiday lights at several locations from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays through Jan. 31. The locations are: Mundelein village hall, 440 E. Hawley St., public works facility, 440 E. Crystal St., fire station No. 1, 1000 N. Midlothian Road and fire station No. 2, 1300 S. Lake St. Only the light strands themselves will be taken. Bulbs to not have to be removed from their strands but strands connected to wreaths, garland or other material will not be accepted. Residents dropping off lights at the village hall are limited to two, 25-foot strand. For questions or bulk drop offs, call (847) 949-3270.
