Eaglewood Resort & Spa in Itasca has recently completed a $1.2 million renovation, the resort’s parent company announced.

Houston-based Benchmark Hospitality International said the makeover encompassed Eaglewood’s conference center’s meeting rooms and common areas, and included new carpeting, wall vinyl, draperies & sheers, upholstery and furnishings. An upgrade in technology to accommodate up to 100 Mbps of bandwidth was also done.

The color palette features warm and inviting earth tones, falling in line with Eaglewood’s trademark Prairie-style design, which is prominent throughout the entire resort and pays homage to Chicago’s renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Eaglewood’s renovation was part of a $50 million upgrade program conducted at a number of Benchmark Hospitality International resorts throughout the U.S.

“During the recession properties within our two brand portfolios continued to make major improvements via capital commitments,” said Greg Champion, COO of Benchmark Hospitality International. “Those investments have paid dividends and allowed us to justify more significant improvements that will continue to maximize our performance and enhance guests’ overall experiences. We’re very pleased with the results.”
