Teen accused of stabbing older brother

A South suburban teen is being held on $2 million bond after authorities say he killed his older brother.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that 15-year-old Michael Tigue of Flossmoor was charged with first-degree murder in Friday’s stabbing death of 25-year-old Steven Tigue. He’s charged as an adult.

During a bond hearing Sunday, Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Shawn Abraham says the teenager admitted planning the attack. Tigue said he’d been bullied by the man, who was pronounced dead at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest early Friday.

Officials say Steven Tigue’s death marked the first homicide in the community in more than three decades.

It wasn’t clear if Michael Tigue has a lawyer.
