Deng, Butler, Hinrich out for Bulls

The Chicago Bulls were without Luol Deng, Jimmy Butler and Kirk Hinrich against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.

Deng, averaging 19.6 points, is missing his second straight game because of a sore left Achilles tendon. Butler left Thursday’s game at Oklahoma City because of a sprained right ankle.

The Bulls were hoping Hinrich would return from an ailing back against Cleveland. Instead, he’s missing his fifth straight game.

“He’s moving better,” coach Tom Thibodeau said. “The fact that he did shooting yesterday (Friday). Today, to be able to go through shootaround, I think is a good sign.”

The Bulls visit Brooklyn on Wednesday. Chicago had dropped four straight and 13 of 16 entering Saturday’s game against the Cavaliers.
