Schaumburg church hosts sing-a-long “Messiah”

Bravissimo Vocal Group will perform Handel’s “Messiah” sing-a-long-style at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 119 West Wise Road in Schaumburg.

Baritone Scott Uddenberg will direct the “Christmas” portion of the “Messiah,” plus the Hallelujah Chorus. Featured soloists include sopranos Kimberly Albrecht, Susan Dennis, Anna Flynn; tenors Bruce Dopke and Oscar Menoyo; and Uddenberg. Organ accompaniment is by Stephen Uhl. The soloists will also present traditional Christmas selections.

Concert proceeds will benefit WINGS, a suburban organization which provides assistance and advocacy to victims of domestic violence. Though any amount is welcome, the suggested donation is $10. For more information, email kimproductions@sbcglobal.net.
