Glen Ellyn village trustee resigns
Glen Ellyn Village Trustee Robert Friedberg has announced his resignation from the village board, effective immediately.
Friedberg said he has accepted a new job out of state that will begin in early January.
Friedberg, who has worked as executive vice president of Cadence Health and president of Delnor Hospital, has served on the village board since his election in 2011.
Village President Alex Demos will recommend his replacement within the next 60 days for the village board to consider at a board meeting in early 2014. The appointment will remain in effect through May 2015, the end of Friedberg’s original term.
