Palatine man charged after drug raid

Palatine police seized 72 grams of marijuana, prescription drugs and more than $1,200 cash while executing a search warrant Friday night as part of an ongoing drug investigation, authorities said.

The raid at a home in the 800 block of West Illinois Avenue ended in the arrest of Christopher Huberty, 20, who lives at that address, on felony charges of unlawful delivery of cannabis unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of cannabis, as well as a misdemeanor charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

During the search, which involved the Palatine Police Department's Uniformed Tactical Unit and the department's K-9 unit, officers recovered 72 grams of marijuana, 12 Concerta pills, one Adderall pill, $1,267 cash, a digital scale and five glass smoking pipes, police said.
