Cameron Diaz to promote book in Naperville

Actress Cameron Diaz will meet with fans next month in Naperville to promote ”The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body.”

Diaz is scheduled to meet with readers and fans at 7 p.m. Jan. 9 at Wentz Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave., on the downtown campus of North Central College. Her appearance is sponsored by Anderson's Bookshop and tickets are available with the purchase of her book at the store at 123 W. Jefferson Ave. or at www.andersonsbookshop.com.

Organizers say Diaz will sign copies of her book, but not memorabilia.

Diaz has starred in numerous movies since making her feature-film debut in “The Mask,” including “There's Something About Mary” and “My Best Friend's Wedding.” She's been an advocate for empowering women and girls as well as education and the environment.

Diaz has said she used her own experiences and consulted with health experts to write the book that stresses the values of nutrition and exercise to build a healthy body. Among other things, she explains why women should satisfy their instinct for fuel with whole, nutrient-dense foods and offers tips and strategies for choosing the right exercise program.

For details about her appearance, call Anderson's at (630) 355-2665.
