Website violates privacy of transit riders

As a parent I want to make everyone aware of a website that violates people’s privacy. It lets the general public post photos of CTA riders. It’s called People of the CTA and also is connected to Facebook so people can comment on posts.

My son had two pictures posted on this site by someone. To my disgust there were close to 200 comments, of which 90 percent were cyberbullying, hate-speech comments. My son is gay and dresses eccentric. Not a reason for this kind of hate!

I spent two days emailing this site to have these photos removed. It finally happened after the two-day fight.

I would ask that you all take a look at this site that to me is violating people’s rights. My son rides the bus and trains every day for his job, and to know that pictures are posted and that such hate speech and bullying for one’s sexual orientation is allowed on there just floors me. All done by so-called “adults.”

I ask that you all look inside your perfect selves and think before you speak. Those words of such hate can tear apart the strongest of souls. Further, I would again love to see this website shut down!
