Judith Linarez and Alejandra Pastranos have joined Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital as in-person counselors (IPC) for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as health care reform. The positions were made possible by a grant from the McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH).

The IPCs will help consumers understand coverage options, determine eligibility and enroll in new affordable health insurance plans. Residents may enroll through the marketplace at http://www.healthcare.gov/ through March 31, 2014 with coverage beginning as early as Jan. 1, 2014.
