MCLEANSBORO, Ill. — A southwestern Illinois man is facing drunken driving charges for a fatal crash that killed five people.

The Southern Illinoisan reports Darrell G. Delong was charged with five counts of aggravated driving under the influence and one count of reckless homicide for the Nov. 23 wreck in McLeansboro.

The 49-year-old Collinsville man was the lone survivor of the crash that happened about 100 miles southeast of St. Louis.

Hamilton County authorities say he lost control of the Chevrolet Trailblazer, which flipped several times.

The crash killed Tammy Delong, 35, Robert Parker, 49, Lori Parker, 42, and 16-year-old Katelynn Fancher all of Collinsville, along with Diana Wright, 23, of McLeansboro.

Delong doesn’t have a listed telephone number and it wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.
