Des Plaines man pleads guilty to promoting prostitution

A Des Plaines man has pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution, court records show.

Nabil Anas, 26, of the 9000 block of West Stevenson, was sentenced to 24 months probation in exchange for his guilty plea to the class 4 felony. Additionally, court records show he was ordered to pay $859 in fines.

Cook County Sheriff’s Police began investigating Anas in late September after they learned he gave cocaine to an 18-year-old Palos Park woman and prostituted her several times in Schiller Park, Skokie and Glenview.

Anas and the woman communicated online and met in person for the first time on Aug. 8, police said. The prostitution began days later, with the woman giving Anas the money she received for performing sex acts, police said.
