Mom, son found shot to death in Bolingbrook home

BOLINGBROOK — A woman and her adult son were found shot to death in an apparent murder-suicide at a home in the southwest Chicago suburb of Bolingbrook.

Police Lt. Mike Rompa tells the Chicago Sun-Times (http://bit.ly/18PTEJa ) that the son is believed to have been the only offender in Friday's shooting.

Officers discovered the bodies while responding to a call from someone reporting "suspicious circumstances."

Police and the Will County coroner's office identified the mother and son as 69-year-old Alicia Coronel and 37-year-old Anthony Rataiczyk.

They were pronounced dead at the scene around 9 p.m. Friday.
