Treetime, Goodwill team up to share the merry

Submitted by Treetime and Goodwill

More than 900 Christmas trees were donated to Goodwill on Friday as part of a unique program hosted by Treetime Christmas Creations of Lake Barrington.

Local residents “traded in” their gently used artificial Christmas trees. The response for this year's program was astounding, with more than double the amount of trees collected this year compared to 2012, as part of the annual Treetime “Christmas tree Trade-In” program.

The trees are being donated to Goodwill store and donation centers in the Chicago area. People who donated their old trees received 15 percent off a new tree.
