Naperville fire causes $50,000 in damages

Naperville fire officials say oily rags and construction materials may have started a garage fire Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were called just before 7 a.m. for the garage fire on the 2700 block of Pennyroyal Circle, according to Naperville Fire Department news release.

The blaze spread into the two-story wood frame home from the three-car attached garage, fire officials said. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire, which did about $50,000 in damage, the release said. The home remains habitable, and nobody was injured.
