A three-vehicle accident shut down three lanes near the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Golf Road for about an hour on Thursday morning.

The driver of one of the vehicles was transported to Northwest Community Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening and the other drivers were not injured, Gyorke said.

The injured driver was cited for a traffic violation in the crash, Gyorke said, adding he didn’t yet have information on the nature of the citation.

All lanes were reopened by 7 a.m.

Police are still investigating the crash.
