Grayslake library holiday spirit:

The Grayslake Area Public Library is partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and the Avon Township Food Pantry to bring holiday spirit to those in need in the community, library officials said in a news release. The Marine Corps Reserves’ Toys for Tots program is looking for donations of new and unwrapped toys ranging in price from $1 to $100. Donations can be dropped off now at the library, 101 Library Lane, until Dec. 16. Toys collected will be distributed to area children in time for Christmas. In conjunction with its Winter Reading Program, the library is partnering with the Avon Township Food Pantry and asking for donations of nonperishable food items to help others. Food will be collected from Nov. 23 through Jan. 31, at the library. For information, visit www.grayslake.info, call (847) 223-5313, and like them on Facebook.
