Flag football event benefits Lake Villa Twp. food pantry
Lake Villa Township hosts its first Flag Football Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, to benefit the Lake Villa Township Food Pantry, the township said in a news release. The five-on-five adult games will be played at the township’s Tiny Park, 37925 N. Fairfield Road, Lake Villa. Registration for the Food for Football event begins at 9 a.m., with games starting at 10 a.m. The games are 15 minutes. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. The entry fee is $5 per person or $20 per team and donated to the food pantry. A nonperishable food item for the Lake Villa Township Food Pantry will be accepted. Players can sign up individually or as a team.
