Red Wings’ DeKeyser hurts shoulder, leaves game

DETROIT — Detroit Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser will be out at least for the rest of the week after injuring his left shoulder in a 2-0 loss to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night.

DeKeyser was checked into the boards on his second shift early in the first period by Predators forward Patric Hornqvist.

“He’s out for a bit,” Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said. “I don’t know the total details. I don’t know if anybody has come out and decided anything or if they’re going to wait until (Wednesday) to tell you exactly how long it’ll be. But he’s definitely not playing this week.”

DeKeyser entered the game with two goals and ranked among rookie leaders with seven assists.
