Large electronics recycling ends Nov. 25 in Hoffman Estates

The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County’s large electronics recycling drop-off program will end for the season on Monday, Nov. 25. The service will resume in the spring.

The last opportunity to drop off old computers, computer components, TVs, DVD players, VHS players, fax machines, MP3 players, printers, scanners and video game consoles is 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 25, at Hoffman Estates village hall, 1900 Hassell Road. After that date, larger electronics recycling will be available between 9 and 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays at the Glenview Transfer Station, 1151 N. River Road in Des Plaines.

Visit www.swancc.org for a full list of acceptable items. Small electronics like cellphones, laptops and cameras can always be recycled in the village hall lobby during normal business hours. For additional electronic recycling options, visit www.hoffmanestates.org/green.
