Wis. DNR plans series of deer hunt chats

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin wildlife officials are planning a series of online chats on deer hunting ahead as the start of the nine-day gun season approaches.

Department of Natural Resources staff will host chats at noon on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Tuesday chat will focus on how to prepare for the hunt. The Wednesday chat will center on how to find open hunting land. The Thursday chat will discuss safety and regulations.

People can join the chats by visiting the DNR’s website and clicking on the “ask the experts” link. They also can join through the DNR’s Facebook page by clicking on the “Cover it Live Chat” box.

The nine-day gun season starts Saturday.
