Noise ordinance coming in Wauconda

Wauconda trustees will vote on new noise regulations that establish rules for when loud, electronically amplified sounds can be transmitted when they next gather Nov. 19.

The proposal was prompted by concerns about bands playing at local restaurants. The measure would limit sounds from construction work, too.

The village board reviewed the proposal Tuesday during a committee-of-the-whole session. No action was taken.
